Welcome to the CDH!
The Council on Dispensational Hermeneutics was started in 2008 to provide a forum for discussion among traditional-dispensational thinkers in the important areas of hermeneutics and theological method. Issues related to biblical interpretation have been broadly discussed in several forums, however, there was no official forum, for traditional-dispensational thinkers to discuss issues among themselves. The Council was inaugurated to meet that particular need. CDH convenes a two-day meeting annually in September rotating between various locations throughout North America. In addition to welcoming scholars, leaders, students, and community members, local pastors are warmly invited to attend the meetings so that the discussions among the academic community can be grounded in every day ministry concerns.

Why Does God Delay? Answer #3
The third response to why God delays the Second Coming is that God is patient or longsuffering (2 Peter 3:9). In particular, this patience is directed toward sinners having a chance to come to God, who is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to...

In 2 Peter 3, the second answer to those who mock the fact that there appears to be a delay in the Second Coming is that God is not bound by time like you and me (vv. 8-9). This truth is stated in two ways. First, “with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a...
